Sales Enablement: Content Portals FAQ

Modified on Tue, 22 Nov 2022 at 04:03 PM

I have more than one Contently publication. Can I include content from more than one pub in my content portal?

Yes. When you create your content portal, you will be asked to choose which content sources you want to include. You will be able to choose from your Docalytics documents and the content you have published to your various websites.

Will all content from my website show up in my content portal?

No. Only published content that was created in Contently will show up in your content portal. This includes all pieces of content that have been published to the web as well as your Docalytics documents.

Can I include content from my internal website in my content portal?

Yes. As long as the content was created in Contently and it has a "published at" URL listed in Contently, content from your internal website can be included in your content portal.

Do content portals support Keynote or Powerpoint documents?

Right now, we only offer support for content published to the web and Docalytics documents. If you work with other file types, please reach out to our Product Adoption Team so they can share your feedback with the product team.

I updated the tags on my piece of published content in Contently but this change isn't showing up in my content portal. Why not?

These changes can take up to 24 hours to show up in your content portal.

I use the AEM integration. I published my piece of content but it isn't showing up in my content portal. Why not?

If you're using the AEM integration, you will need to manually fill in the "published at" URL in Contently when you publish a new piece of content.

How do I make sure that content from Contently shows up in my content portal?

  • The piece of content has to have a "Published at" URL in Contently or be a Docalytics document to show up in a portal.

  • If you use Contently's analytics on your website, the "Published at" URL will automatically be set for content you publish to your website.

  • If you use Contently's Wordpress or Drupal integrations, the "Published at" URL will automatically be set for content you publish from your CMS.

  • If you use Contently's AEM integration, you will need to manually fill in the "Published at" URL in Contently when you publish your piece of content.

  • When you created your content portal, you set up Tag Rules for the portal. The piece of content has to have at least one of the tags you chose in the Tag Rules section in order to show up in the content portal.

  • If you add tags to a piece of Content in Contently after it has been published, it can take up to 24 hours for the piece of content to show up in your content portal.
